Chandler 0.2

Yesterday I mentioned my all-time favourite program, Lotus Agenda, and discussed how OneNote 2003 was beginning to take its place in my affections.

Mitch Kapor, who was pivotally involved in producing Lotus Agenda, has a project underway to produce a bigger and better successor to Agenda, called Chandler .

There is now a version 0.2 Chandler download available and I have spent a little time exploring it.

The OneNote team needn't have any sleepless nights yet. Chandler has a very long way to go until it is a product. But it's nice to have a version to explore.

Even with the limited functionality in version 0.2 there are echoes of Lotus Agenda.

It's too early to tell how good Chandler might be. I guess that OneNote and Outlook are the Microsoft products with which Chandler will, in time, compete.

There is a lot to be done to add functionality to Chandler. And the interface looks like it has been designed by programmers. Always a dangerous approach in my opinion!
