Microsoft have done pretty well so far ... at least as far as timing is concerned. An initial email response in a little under an hour.
Content of the response isn't so good:
"While I understand you seem to be having some difficulties using our products or services, the information you have sent me does not contain enough information and is not specific enough to allow me to provide you with any clear or satisfactory resolution or answer.
Please reply to this mail and provide me with as many specifics and step-by-step details of what you did to arrive at the unsatisfactory experience, or where the process failed. The more specific details you include, the better my chances of understanding and resolving your problem."
I don't understand what isn't clear about entering "blog" in the Search box at the top left of the home page of Microsoft.com.
Might these support guys be without Internet access? Interesting thought.
Or might the support staff have access only to Internet Explorer and so are unable to test the difficulties I mention. Equally interesting thought.
The response email, including pasted text from the blog entry (to cover the no Internet access possibility) is on its way.
