IBM and Adobe have announced a new piece of cooperation, IBM and Adobe create digital documents together and IBM and Adobe Join Forces To Deliver Enterprise Solutions Based on Document Services centered around Adobe's forms server.
It looks as if this cooperation may be targeting a similar segment of the enterprise forms market to some of the things that InfoPath is targetting. However, Adobe's XML/PDF forms tool (which isn't mentioned in yesterday's announcement) seems to be a more direct competitor to InfoPath.
I guess it won't be news to anybody that XML-based forms and document workflows are going to a growth area for the enterprise sector.
