RSS is everywhere ... or so it seems

Reality is easy to distort in the blogosphere. RSS, and to a lesser extent RDF, is pouring over my horizons from all directions at the moment.

But is that seeming avalanche of RSS real?

Is it more than me doing some targeted Googling?

Is it much more than me setting up some RSS feeds on those topics?

Am I picking up the early signal of upcoming real and substantial growth?

Or simply tuning my information amplifier into a particular part of the spectrum of noise and amplifying it disproportionately and making it appear to be something that it is not?

The point I want to make is that with the increasing availability of RSS feeds there is a significant risk of reality distortion. And that risk of distorted perception applies to RSS too.
