Kevin Schofield, Kevin Schofield's Weblog has written a long piece about what it is like to work in Microsoft Research.
An interesting read from somebody who is enjoying his job.
An intriguing piece of bait in the logo for Kevin's blog is the word Orcas. A blog to watch, I guess, to get insights into what may be coming in Visual Studio Orcas, the version of Visual Studio which is due to follow Visual Studio 2005 (code-named "Whidbey").
