The search facility on the Microsoft.com Home page now works!
I tested it with Firebird, Opera and Mozilla and the Search box now actually operates rather than, as it did previously, failing to return any results for search terms that worked with Internet Explorer.
It would have been nice if Microsoft had actually let me know they had fixed it in response to my complaint a few days ago. But I guess I can't have everything.
