A Danish report on the use of open source software - and therefore relevant to what I call the "Big Software War" - has been translated into English. It seems, Denmark urges government support for open source , that the Danish Board of Technology recommends that the Danish Government actively supports open source software, as a way to improve competitiveness in the software marketplace.
The European Union has a philosophy and supporting laws which promote competition in various market places, which are broadly similar to the thought pattern underlying anti-trust laws in the USA.
So far, I haven't located the original report.
